New tool to detect tetracyclines in raw milk to meet Russian Federal MRLs

May 21, 2013

The Russian Federation has established quite strict MRLs for veterinary drug residues in bovine milk (Federal Law 163/2010). Thus it is quite important to keep the related antibiotics under strict control to meet the requirement. In countries like Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, antibiotics such as Beta-Lactams, Tetracyclines, Chloramphenicol and Streptomycin are compulsory supervision items.

Ring Bioscience has recently developed a new test kit for tetracyclines which can detect 4 tetracyclines (tetracycline, chlortetracycline, oxytetracyline, doxycyline) uner 10ppb, which is quite sentitive and already meets the Russian Federal MRL inspection requirement. The test only takes 5min to get a direct result, which requires no addtional instrument. The operation is also very simple, lab staff or farm workers, even the dairy milk traders can easily operate the kit.

Here is the details of the test kit. As we are also looking for partners in the Russian Federal, if you are interested, please feel free to contact us. We will always be willing to help.
